The Plot:

The Interplanetary Energy Union (IEU) is a massive undertaking and about building and consuming resources throughout the Solar System.

It spans from a time of the not too distant future in from about 2225-2334 where we have a advanced system of Human and Machine workers on multiple planets and celestial bodies like moons and asteroids and even have traveled to other star systems to claim bases on other solar systems.

The goal is to mine, preserve and use energy in the development of our specie's of both humans and cybernetic organisms by going as far as we can and exploring more and more space and populations more Planets and more stars.

The over population of Earth left a big problem that humans faced around the turn of the 21st Century.

It was slow going for the first hundred years from the beginning of the space race on July 29th 1955 to the advancement of anti matter on July 4, 2012 up until the mass production of it to power vehicles in space in 2045.

In 2028 we landed back on the Moon with the Artemis missions and so lead to the permanent Moon base in 2035.

Then the development of the Anti Matter Engine in 2091 from the help of many nations it was another race to build the first vehicle that could travel the fastest any human has traveled before to try to get to Mars quicker.

It was only because of the President of the United States in the year 2101 that President Newham said, " We Must and choose to go to Mars by the end of this decade." It was that statement that lead to the pushing of technology to build the almost fast as the speed of light Anti-Matter Proton Engine.

President Newham had been inspired by the words of former President Kennedy in the 1960's as which it was clear as day even now as, "We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard."

Then in 2109 we landed on Mars and planted the Flag of the IEU (Interplanetary Energy Union).

After a long time of wanted to go to the red planet it was finally achieved. After many failed attempts and deaths life on another planet prevailed.

We were an Interplanetary Species.

A base was formed and then in 2121 we used the Anti-Matter Proton Engine to build a Space Elevator to mass exit the gravitational pull of planet Earth. From there it was all easy to enter space and it was dirt cheap. The transportation of goods and people and supplies was as easy as a ship on water in the ancient times.

We were now in the Interplanetary Age.

It is now the year 2225 and we have bases on the Moon, Mars, a Space Elevator, and bases on the moons of Jupitar and Saturn as well as many asteroids and comets and space stations in between all these natural celestial bodies.

It is now your job to keep it going so we have enough to go on to the next goal to become an Interstellar Species of both man and machines to travel to other stars in our galaxy...

The nearest star to our solar system is Alpha Centauri and it's 4.37 light-years away.
